VIDEO Spinach & watercress veggie burgers



Chef Keri Astill-Frew makes a tasty and healthy alternative to a standard  gourmet burger with a veggie patty made from watercress, spinach and cheddar cheese. A great way to introduce kids to new greens or perfect for a meat-free Monday? TOP TIP *A good non-stick pan that can be moved to the oven or transfer to a baking tray once caramelised in the pan will ensure these hold together*  If the mix is a little wet be sure to use plenty of flour...just follow Keri's instructions to make the perfect veggie burger. Take it from us, these taste fantastic! 


What you will need :

  1. 125 g of watercress

  2. 125 g of spinach

  3. 150 g of Cheddar cheese

  4. 5 slices of bread

  5. 2 large eggs

  6. Seasoning

To garnish :

  1. sliced bell peppers

  2. Hummus

  3. Ciabatta rolls x 4
