Cook chopped onion in butter and sugar until soft and caramelised. Transfer the onion to a large bowl with the bread mix. Add the watercress, chopped and the bacon, cooked until crispy. Make up the bread and preheat the oven following packet instructions. Divide the dough into 16 rolls and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden. Serve with watercress butter made by mixing ½ a bag of watercress with the softened butter, salt and freshly ground black pepper. |
