Tours | Last Year's Festival

If you've ever wondered what happens on a watercress farm and wanted to take a closer look, then now is your chance as Hampshire watercress growers open their doors to the public on Sunday 17th May for this year's annual Watercress Festival held in the beautiful Georgian town of Alresford, Hampshire - the UK's capital of watercress farming.
You'll be able to see the workings of a watercress farm, learn more about this plant's fascinating history from the experts and see how it is grown from seed to harvest. What is more, you will also be able to take in the stunning scenery and enjoy the local wildlife. The gravel beds are home to many rare birds including Kingfishers, Meadow Pipits and Warblers - a veritable twitchers' paradise!
Tours are taking place at Pinglestone watercress farm and Manor watercress farm. Both are just a short stroll from Alresford's Broad Street where the main festival events are taking place.
