2008 is a special year for watercress as it marks the 200th year since William Bradbury opened the very first UK watercress farm in 1808 at Springhead in Kent. To mark our bi-centenary, The Watercress Alliance has produced a special anniversary book, packed with over 30 delicious recipes, watercress history, facts and folklore. It also includes five exclusive recipes and a foreword from watercress fan and celebrity chef, Antony Worrall Thompson.
To celebrate our 200th anniversary we are giving away 200 anniversary books during 2008. To enter just answer this simple question:
When is this year's Watercress Festival?
20 winners will be drawn each month between March and December, winners will be notified by email. Never mind if you don’t win, you can purchase your copy of the Watercress anniversary book here.
